Hungry Are We There are moments when we think we are limited, that our abilities are somehow restricted. The search for new challenges and the creation of scenarios that advance us as human beings is what makes us different. The hunger to move forward and do things differently than we are used to is what I have depicted on this wall. We are creatures of routine until the moment we make a decision and have a different idea, and it is this idea that makes us change our attitudes and be in constant change.Artist's biography:Influenced by old comics, the graphic style of the 50s, and science fiction films, Smithe began painting graffiti at the age of 13 for fun and as a hobby. As a self-taught artist drawn to visual arts, he has constantly reinvented his style and, in recent years, has explored numerous themes in his works such as existentialism, the individuality of humans, and the machine within. Defragmentation, a method frequently used in his work, serves as a vehicle to show the inner elements that drive his figures, depicted as a surrealistic machine. Smithe is primarily known for his graffiti but also works in other areas such as illustration, design, sculpture, and music. He has exhibited in Japan, Germany, France, Belgium, Great Britain, Spain, the USA, and Mexico.
