Hangwälder im Tal der Großen Mühl

Beeches, sycamores and ashes dominate the hillside forests of the Große Mühl. Scattered yews, which have become rare, can also be found here. In addition to the deciduous forests that characterize the slopes down to the river, the granite blockfields also shape a landscape here that is characteristic of the Mühlviertel north of the Danube. The stone blocks are overgrown with mosses and lichens, creating a mystical landscape atmosphere that captivates hikers and walkers.
