The large narrow-gauge steam railway in Carinthia and Austria's first museum railway. On the Gurkthalbahn, you can still experience genuine narrow-gauge romance. As more than a hundred years ago, steam locomotives pull the train through blooming meadows and fields. This railway has been operated by the Gurkthalbahn-Kärntner Museumsbahn association since 1974. The goal of this association is to preserve and operate the Gurkthalbahn museum railway and its vehicles. This is achieved through the voluntary work of its members.
