Seefeld, Tyrol
The Gschwandtkopf is considered the "Seefeld local mountain" and offers diverse activities for families, friends, and solo adventurers in summer and winter. Within walking distance of Seefeld train station and village center, the Gschwandkopf delights in the summer months with beautiful (e-)bike and hiking trails, while in winter, approximately five kilometers of perfectly groomed slopes appeal to all demands and age groups. With the Sportalm, the Bergrestaurant und Panoramabar (currently closed), and the Sonnenalm, three delicious huts and Alms (mountain pastures) on the Seefeld local mountain also tempt year-round with culinary delights and cozy hut flair. A special jewel is, of course, the impressive reservoir lake at the summit of the Gschwandtkopf, which is also a popular spot for impressive panoramic views in summer and winter. SummerIn summer, the Gschwandtkopf blossoms in vibrant colors and attracts bike and hiking guests into the cool forests and onto the lush Alm meadows. From mid-June to mid-October, the summer chairlift facilitates the ascent to the summit in good weather – and can also take bikes along if desired. Alternatively, one can choose one of the beautiful hiking routes to the reservoir lake at the summit or enjoy the sunny hours on the summer meadows around the Seefeld local mountain. If hunger strikes along the way, the huts and Alms on the Gschwandtkopf offer seasonal delicacies and – of course – a cozy sun terrace. WinterDuring the winter months, the Gschwandtkopf transforms into a sparkling snow paradise – and a versatile ski area for families, friends, and solo athletes. The Happy Gschwandkopf Lifts then offer not only an exciting children's paradise with a magic carpet and children's drag lift, but professional athletes can also be found on the slopes for race and technical training. Particularly comfortable skiing pleasure is then offered by the exclusive accommodations on site, where one can start directly from the hotel door onto the slopes after a power breakfast. For day guests, parking spaces are available at the valley station and at the Seewaldalm, but arrival by public transport is also easily possible.
