Grenzerfahrungsweg Bildein

The Grenzerfahrungsweg (Border Experience Trail) is a hiking trail for old and young. The experience-oriented stations address historical, cultural, and landscape features.The starting point is the village square of Bildein with its excellent tourist infrastructure (inn, wine archive, shop, toilet).You hike to the Austrian-Hungarian border via a number of impressive stations (Labyrinth, WWII bunker, trench, border bridge, border watchtower, game without borders, floating bridge…), cross the Pinka there, and walk back along the opposite riverbank.All stations are designed to be interesting and stimulating for children and adults. They are also intended to consciously encourage cross-generational conversation.You hike through a varied landscape, with sufficient resting places, as well as smaller individual stations with image-text panels.
