Granite World of ExperienceIn the Granite World of Experience, Austria's largest geological educational trail with over 160 exhibits demonstrates the Austrian natural stone landscape. This includes natural stones that are currently being quarried, as well as historical rocks and geological peculiarities.The focus is on granite from the Granite Highlands (Mühlviertel, Waldviertel, Sauwald) and the EUREGIO Böhmerwald/Bayerischer Wald. The second part consists of natural stones from all over Austria, such as marble, limestone, conglomerate, sandstone, etc.During the guided tours offered year-round, you will be introduced to the history of the granite region and Austrian petrology. A resting place at the intersection of the educational trail with the hiking trails "Feldbahn" and "Granitweg" invites you to take a break.
