Gmünder Seemeile & Rundweg Lebensfreude

First, cross the road and follow the path up to Hotel Almhof. Continue on the single-lane road that passes Hotel Almhof until you reach the turn-off towards 'Seemeile'. The descent to the dam wall requires some caution, so good footwear is recommended. After a short tunnel section, the return path leads along the picturesque shore of the Gmünder Stausee. Once you reach Hotel Kröller, continue the hike along the Gerlosbach and return to Gerlos. In 2025, the Zillertal artist HAKI created six installations, which now form the stations of the Rundweg Lebensfreude (Joy of Life Circular Trail). They invite you to pause and immerse yourself deeply in the magnificent nature of the Gmünder Stausee. The individual stations bring smiles to both children and adults.
