Where skiers are out and about in winter, the two cheerful ghosts "Gspensti" and "Spuki" welcome visitors during the snow-free months of the year. You can reach the Geisterberg (Ghost Mountain) via the Alpendorf Gondola in St. Johann im Pongau. After a short walk, you arrive at the stop of the Geisterzug (Ghost Train), which takes visitors to the center of the adventure mountain. Embedded in various stories about nature spirits and legendary figures, there are over 40 large and small adventure stations along the well-designed hiking trails, most of which are also accessible with strollers. Water games, climbing towers, swings, the Geisterdrache (Ghost Dragon), a mountain lake with a raft, slides, and much more invite exploration. The Geisterberg promises fun, play, and nature experiences for young and old and is an ideal day-trip destination centrally located in Salzburger Pongau, especially suitable for families with children. Please note: From summer 2025, the Geisterberg (Alpendorf Gondola) will no longer be included in the SalzburgerLand Card.
