Geißlochklamm

From the district of Feistritz, the safe and adventurous Geißlochklamm opens up to hikers and walkers. At the entrance of the gorge, framed by a protected forest of juniper trees, a spacious barbecue area invites visitors to a campfire. At the impressive end of the gorge, another resting place offers space for an eventful afternoon.From the district of Feistritz, visitors reach the beginning of the Geißlochklamm after a few minutes on the paved Drauradweg (Drava Cycle Path). Via paths and bridges, one gets deeper and deeper into the gorge. The vegetation quickly becomes sparser, the gorge narrower, and the rock formations more bizarre. One crosses the stream several times and penetrates further and further into the gorge. Shortly before it narrows between the rocks, one reaches a resting place that marks the end of the path. Children will find great play opportunities here; nothing stands in the way of an exciting day away from the hustle and bustle. The way back follows the already known route.
