Galerie3 on Alter Platz has been called a "jewel in Carinthia's cultural scene." No wonder – because it offers high competence, a sophisticated atmosphere, and heartfelt cultural mediation. The program gallery focuses on contemporary art and represents renowned as well as emerging artists. A constantly changing "collection," the Galerie3 viewing storage, also invites browsing through works from the gallery's program. In the historic rooms at Alter Platz 25 (2nd floor, elevator), Galerie3 presents six exhibitions of high-caliber contemporary art annually in the middle of the pedestrian zone, supplemented by presentations in outdoor spaces, including in the gallery's small atrium and at other venues as part of Galerie3flux projects. The presence of artists with disabilities from Austria and abroad, previously often labeled "Art Brut," has become a matter of course in Galerie3's program. Since 2014, the flexible project Galerie3flux (formerly Flux23) has expanded the gallery's work into public spaces, as well as to socially involved projects and transdisciplinary collaborations. "Kunst jetzt jetzt Kunst" (Art now now Art) is the name of the Galerie3flux podcast, which deals with the interplay of art and society and can be heard on all usual channels as well as on the gallery's website.
