Galerie 422 - Margund Lössl

For more than twenty years, it has been one of the largest private galleries in Upper Austria and is one of the cultural hotspots of the state. Galerie 422 Margund Lössl is centrally located on the Traunbrücke, which connects the two parts of the city of Gmunden. The name of Galerie 422 is closely linked to this location - it is derived from the altitude of Lake Traunsee, which is around 422 meters above sea level. The gallery's focus is on contemporary Austrian art, which sustainably shapes the varied exhibition program. The aim is to show both internationally recognized established artists and young, aspiring positions who have dedicated themselves to painting, drawing, and sculpture, among other things. Above the exhibition rooms, which extend over two floors, there is a spacious viewing depot on the upper floors of the annex building. Approximately 3000 works are available for browsing, from A to Z.
