On the occasion of Fritz Fröhlich's 100th birthday, the Cistercian Wilhering Abbey opened the new Fritz Fröhlich Collection in specially adapted rooms of the so-called Meierhof. The newly conceived exhibition in the abbey museum now provides a condensed insight into Fröhlich's artistic work spanning several decades. Fritz Fröhlich is one of the most renowned artistic personalities of the 20th century in Upper Austria. Fröhlich, who was artistically active until his death, left behind an extensive body of work, with painting at its center. Around this, further focal points of his work included graphics, collage, and sculpture. In addition, there were several frescoes, projects in public spaces, and restoration commissions.
