The Vorau Museum Village is located right next to the Abbey Cemetery: here, the rural working world of past centuries comes alive again. Among other things, to be viewed in detail: the "Marotti" smokehouse from 1706 with complete furnishings of a typical East Styrian farmhouse, an "open shed", "Hoanl" and "Hoar" parlors, a house mill and forge, the old house pharmacy of a village doctor, a hand typesetting shop, a school classroom, a cabbage pit, a drying oven, a press house, a farmer's saw, weather cannons, and much more.
