Innovation from yesterday in today! In the area of the open-air museum, at the entrance to the Arntal in Innervillgraten, visitors experience a world full of fascinating stories and unforgettable experiences - tradition and craftsmanship come alive here in an impressive way. It is a journey into the past, before electronic power reached the region and water was the sole source of propulsion. An ensemble consisting of a mill, a Venetian frame sawmill, a loden fulling mill, an Almhütte (alpine hut) and an Einhof (farmhouse) shows life in the Alps of bygone times with all its challenges, crafts, traditions, agricultural equipment, wooden buildings and the power of water. The exhibits in the Almhütte and Einhof, including diverse agricultural objects, help to illustrate the connection between past and present. Visitors can not only see the elements of water, wood, grain and wool, but also feel and experience how they were used in those days during regular demonstrations.
