In 1461, the pilgrimage church in Pernegg, called "Heilige Maria or Frauenkirche", was built as a Gothic church. Over time, the interior was "baroquified", which can be seen particularly well in the monumental columns and the noble high altar. The special feature of the church is its unusual, five-story tower. Magnificent ceiling paintings and a mighty high altar with the "Pernegger Madonna" adorn the Frauenkirche. It is particularly popular with pilgrims and hikers, but many cyclists also visit it. The "Murradweg R2" leads directly through the village and past the Frauenkirche. Several guesthouses are in the immediate vicinity and there are also accommodation establishments in the village. For hiking, for example, the Kirchenrunde in Pernegg invites you.Take the opportunity to travel by public transport.
