Frauenkirche Pernegg

In 1461, the pilgrimage church in Pernegg, called "Heilige Maria or Frauenkirche", was built as a Gothic church. Over time, the interior was "baroquified", which can be seen particularly well in the monumental columns and the noble high altar. The special feature of the church is its unusual, five-story tower. Magnificent ceiling paintings and a mighty high altar with the "Pernegger Madonna" adorn the Frauenkirche. It is particularly popular with pilgrims and hikers, but many cyclists also visit it.
