The approximately 2ha area features several ponds for breeding and two ponds for fishing for trout and carp. Since 2019, the art format "flora pondtemporary" has also taken place at the ponds. During the summer months, the spacious area transforms into an open-air studio for site-specific, ecopolitical works, some of which remain permanently. Further artworks come from projects by the Viennese artist-run space "Kulturdrogerie". "flora pondtemporary" reflects the contrasts of city and country, space and density, tradition and trend. In winter, we traditionally sell Christmas carp. Our carp have a very good reputation for being drained and not greasy. The 2-3kg specimens are gutted and filleted upon request. For carp, the fillets are additionally scored, which crushes 98% of the Y-bones. You can get other fresh fish from the pond during the fishing season, provided you catch them yourself.
