Two bodies of water that could not be more different: The Alm captivates with its crystal-clear turquoise water and is home to brown trout as well as strong-fighting rainbow trout, but also beautiful grayling. This extra-class fishing ground makes fly fishers' hearts beat faster. Sight fishers and dry fly enthusiasts will find a paradise in the lovely Laudach with its golden-yellow brown trout, where they can undisturbed pursue their passion for fly fishing! Fishing in the Alm: Our stretch of the Alm is predestined for dry fly fishing and a delight for every fly fisher. The river here has a width of 15 to 25 meters. The crystal-clear water with its turquoise-blue color offers a unique natural experience. Long riffle sections as well as deep pools after the weirs are characteristic of this section with an excellent fish stock of brown trout, rainbow trout and grayling! The fishing ground begins above the Eckhart power plant in Fischböckau and extends 4km downstream to Haresau. Fish stock: Brown trout, rainbow trout and grayling. Season April 1 - November 30. Fishing is permitted exclusively with a fly rod with dry fly or nymph without barbs. Pure fly fishing sections, fly rod, nymph or dry fly, streamer in the Alm (max. 3 cm hook length) barbless hooks. Fish removal max. 2 trout (rainbow trout or brown trout) between 35 cm and 45 cm. All other fish must be carefully released. Fishing in the Laudach The Laudach presents itself as a small lowland stream with different characteristics and strong bank vegetation. It is a tributary of the Alm, which is excellently suited for fishing with light tackle. Sight fishers and dry fly enthusiasts will find a paradise in the lovely Laudach with its golden-yellow brown trout! Our section of the Laudach is divided into two fishing grounds that can be fished: Laudach I and Laudach II Length approx. 10km, season from April 1 - November 30 Fishing ground boundary Laudach I: The upper part from Kirchham (Bäckermühlbrücke) to Vorchdorf, a section almost like a mountain stream, then riffle sections, deep pools, undercut banks Fishing ground boundary Laudach II: Lower part of the Laudach from Vorchdorf, many small weirs, small impoundments. More of a lowland stream, with higher water flow and wider due to the confluence of the Dürre Laudach. Main fish: Brown trout, rainbow trout, isolated grayling Fishing is permitted exclusively with a fly rod with dry fly or nymph without barbs. Pure fly fishing sections, fly rod, nymph or dry fly, streamer in the Alm (max. 3 cm hook length) barbless hooks. Fish removal max. 2 rainbow trout between 35 cm and 45 cm. Brown trout are protected all year round and must be carefully released.
