The fishing permit is issued for € 25.00 per day at the tourist office in Irdning and Donnersbachwald, at Hotel Stegerhof in Donnersbachwald, and at Seestüberl in Donnersbach. The price includes 2 fish (trout or char) or 3 perch. All other fish are protected year-round and must be released! Minimum size: trout and char 30 cm. Undersized fish whose survival is doubtful must be killed, cut into pieces suitable for feeding, and fed into the water. The permit holder is obliged to enter the time, fish species, and catch length into the adjacent table after each catch; otherwise, the day ticket and catch will be confiscated during inspection. A maximum of 1 fish may be in the keepnet. Fishing must cease upon reaching the catch limit. If no fish are caught, a blank report must be entered. The completed permit must be deposited in the mailbox by the bridge (near the island) after fishing. All baits may be used, with the exception of worms and live baitfish. Only barbless hooks are permitted. The Styrian Animal Welfare Act and the Fisheries Act must be observed. Fishing times are from May 24th, from 08:00 to 20:00.
