Fischen am Spechtensee

The water of the lake has drinking water quality and contributes significantly to the species-rich flora and fauna in its surroundings. At the same time, Spechtensee invites visitors to bathe and swim. As a moor lake, it reaches pleasantly tempered water throughout the entire bathing season. A circumstance from which the lushly blooming water lilies also benefit. Spechtensee measures around 250 meters in length and about 150 meters at its widest point. Its water surface covers approximately three hectares, and the depth is between eight and eleven meters.
