Filialkirche St. Nikolaus

Ebbs, Tyrol

The pilgrimage church of St. Nikolaus rises visibly from afar on the Buchberg near Ebbs. St. Nikolaus Church is the only remnant of the high medieval "Ebbs Castle" and, according to tradition, is probably the successor building to the old castle chapel. During renovation work in recent years, rare frescoes from the early 16th century were uncovered. St. Nikolaus Church Ebbs is today not only a special place of power, a destination for walks, but also a popular wedding church with a unique flair.
