Lochen am See, Upper Austria
The single-nave building of the late Gothic Filialkirche (parish church) dates from around 1500. The winged altar was created by Master Gordian Guckh. Since the wall paintings were uncovered, the Gebertsham church has become one of the rare, fully preserved Gothic cultural monuments. The idyllic location with a magnificent view over Lake Mattsee and a rocking chair for relaxing make it an always attractive destination for visitors. The church is open daily from 9:00 to 19:00 during the summer months. Outside of these hours, the Stepasiuk family from the neighboring farm is happy to open the church.
