Fasnachtfigur

On the 3.5-meter-high bronze sculpture of the "Laternenträger" (lantern bearer), a main figure of the Telfs Fasnacht, 16 bronze reliefs by Martin Gundolf are attached to the edge of the circular trough. They depict the various groups of the Telfs "Schleicherlaufen", a unique and centuries-old Tyrolean Fasnacht custom. Those who take their time and look closely can recognize the sequence of the entire Fasnacht procession, which begins with the ascent of the sun. This is followed by the heralds, the four seasons, the Wilden, the Schleicher, the bears, Laninger, and many others.
