The Noaflhaus Telfs houses a local history museum and a Fasnacht (carnival) museum within its historic walls, as well as the chronicler's library and the Noaflsaal, an event venue.The objects in the local history museum on the second floor illuminate the past of Telfs. Archaeological finds bear witness from the Bronze Age Urnfield culture to the Bavarian nobles in the Middle Ages.The first floor, on the other hand, is dedicated to a major theme of the region – the Telfs Fasnacht. Presented in a modern and multimedia format, visitors can easily immerse themselves in the hustle and bustle of the Wilden, the Bären, and the Beasn Buam and marvel at many customs. The changing Schleicherhüte (carnival hats) attest to the vibrancy and topicality of the custom, which only takes place every 5 years and attracts thousands of people from near and far.Admission to the museums and exhibitions is free.
