Whether skiing, cross-country skiing or strolling around – the high plateau is perfectly suited for sticking your cold nose into the fresh winter air. The beautifully situated high plateau in winter: There you can classic cross-country ski and skate on the approximately 6 km long high-altitude trail, or get out at the parking lot and slip into your ski boots. Because there are two T-bar lifts, one platter lift and a magic carpet for the little ones. If you are still wobbly on the boards that mean the ski or snowboard world, it's best to knock on the door of the Gesäuse Ski School, the only ski school in the Gesäuse. Material for rent is also available. Let your soul dangle Alternatively, you can also just go for a walk on the Kaiserau to look for all possible winter wonders. Or simply to let your soul dangle. A ski tour is of course always an option, because the Kaiserau parking lot in particular is a popular starting point. Absolutely ideal After a lot of exercise and a lot of downhill carving, it's time to try regional cuisine in the "Sportalm", because the mountain inn is of course also open in winter. The Kaiserau should therefore not be disregarded in summer or winter, as it is considered an ideal excursion destination for switching off and recharging.
