Illmitz is home to historical bicycles. A small, traditional wine-growing community on the eastern shore of Lake Neusiedl – more precisely in the heart of the Neusiedler See – Seewinkel National Park. A special holiday destination characterized by excellent wine and the Pannonian climate. An former wine cellar of our family was transformed into a place for historical bicycles – a place where time seems to have stood still. A place for nostalgics and lovers of good wine, which invites you to linger. Here you can slow down and listen to the sounds of music from bygone times. Historical bicycles and old technology show how efficient and well-thought-out many things already were back then – and how much of it has been forgotten today. Every single bicycle has its very own story to tell. I try to bring these back to life through careful restoration and research.
