The Europahaus Klagenfurt is dedicated to extracurricular information, education, and cultural initiatives that are accessible to people of all ages and professional backgrounds, as well as to European citizens. In the gallery of the Europahaus, artists, as well as hobby artists and crafters, can exhibit their works. The galleries are open all year round and accessible to everyone without admission. The two-story building is modeled after a palace. It dates from the 18th century, and remnants of the 16th-century city fortifications can still be found in its foundations. In 1833, the municipal riding school was built here. In 1986, the house (owned by the city of Klagenfurt) was completely renovated.
