The first artificially created lake in Burgenland was built between 1962 and 1964 and is located in the quiet and picturesque Faludital. It is approx. 300 m long, 100 m wide and a maximum of 7 m deep. The swimming lake is fed by springs on the southern slope of the Geschriebenstein and has excellent water quality. The entire area is over 5 ha, so it never gets crowded even with many bathers. At the swimming lake buffet with a seating terrace on the south bank and at the snack bar on the north bank, guests are pampered directly on the water with cool drinks, ice cream specialties and culinary delights. Young people gather around the water slide, on the sun island, at the diving tower (jumping heights of 3 and 5 meters) and on the large swing world. In addition, pedal boats, a children's playground, a skater park, a table tennis table and a beach volleyball court are available for sporting activities. A campsite for tents, caravans and motorhomes is also available to guests directly on the lake premises. The town center with its numerous shopping opportunities can be easily reached in ten minutes.
