They wanted to honor a special place that had brought them much joy during their lifetime.The chapel was built over a spring that had brought relief for eye ailments since ancient times. How much the builders were interested in emphasizing the sanctity of this secluded place in the middle of the forest can be seen in the design of the chapel's interior, which is modeled after the Lourdes Grotto.The chapel and spring have been renovated in recent years.on foot
