Oberperfuss, Tyrol
Oberperfuss is rich in chapels. Very quiet and idyllically situated hiking trails lead right through the village to the partly beautifully renovated buildings. The oldest is the Burkterkapelle, it is located in the source area of the Burkter east of Oberperfuss in the forest, on the former church path that led to Axams. The chapel was built by the Johannesbruderschaft in honor of Saint John of Nepomuk, the saint of streams and springs. The statue of the saint dates from the 18th century. It was restored in 1850 and 1852. On one of the Rogation Days in May, the population pilgrimages to the Burkterkapelle. Starting point: Tennis court Oberperfuss - Bürgl, a short walk through the forest, starting and ending at the tennis court.
