Burgruine Wesen

No interior viewing. On the steep slope, behind a neck ditch, there are still wall sections of a rectangular keep and a palas with remnants of the curtain wall and zwinger. Of the former outer bailey, destroyed by road construction, only minor remains and the gatehouse are left. The seat of the Passau ministeriales played a certain role in the Schaunberg Feud of the 13th century. It fell into disrepair from the 15th century onwards, but is now inhabited again.
