Losenstein Castle Ruin is very well suited for a family outing with children, as the castle grounds are relatively quick and easy to reach, and the castle grounds are wonderful for exploring, romping around, and playing. The imagination of children, in particular, is stimulated by the old walls, seating niches, hidden places, and stories. Numerous seating options and the large, grass-covered castle courtyard with many old shade-giving trees also offer a beautiful setting for a family picnic or a small campfire (a special fire pit has even been set up for this). Information on the info boards, which are distributed throughout the castle grounds, is also prepared in a child-friendly way and invites stories about the former Losenstein knights to be read aloud or by oneself.
