On a rugged rock summit in a narrow valley south of Reutte rise the defiant wall remains of Ehrenberg Castle Ruin, Fort Claudia, the Schlosskopf Fortress, and the Ehrenberger Klause.Medieval fortresses, an interactive museum, a secret rock passage, viewing platforms for a magnificent view over the castle complexes and the valley basin, a 406-meter-long valley-spanning pedestrian suspension bridge, and an inclined lift for barrier-free access – these are the ingredients for an eventful day for the whole family. All of this is offered in the Burgenwelt Ehrenberg, which is located on the historic Roman road Via Claudia Augusta.To make the view and history of Ehrenberg accessible to everyone, two inclined lifts enable comfortable and, above all, barrier-free access to the castle ensemble. With inclined lift I "Ehrenberg Liner" you reach the Hornwerk, Ehrenberg Castle Ruin, and the highline179. With inclined lift II "Top Liner", opened at the beginning of March 2023, you reach the highest point in the Burgenwelt Ehrenberg, the Schlosskopf Fortress.
