Trace a past in which wealth meant hard cash and money still had a magical glow, currency was as hard as the material from which it was minted, and coin forgers faced a grim fate.Visitors of all ages can embark on a search for clues into the exciting past of Hasegg Castle and the history of coinage with the help of a modern audio guide or with their own smartphone via an audio guide system and their own headphones. The Mint Tower entices with the world's largest silver thaler, urban archaeology, the falcon area, and a magnificent view of the medieval town of Hall and the mighty Karwendel Mountains. As a grand finale, you can mint your own coin in the form of a Guldiner. ATTENTION: From 11.01.26 to 16.03.26, the museum will remain closed, except for groups (15 people or more) with a reservation!Special opening flat rate:For special openings outside regular opening hours, a flat rate of EUR 150.00 will be charged.Closing days: 24.12. - 28.12.2026 31.12. - 04.01.2027
