Burg Glanegg - historischer Mittelpunkt des Glantales

Glanegg Castle is located on a steep valley flank of the sunny Glan Valley. The original purpose of the imposing fortress was to control passage through the valley. Today, the castle slopes are once again planted with grapevines, as was the case during its heyday. The Romanesque keep with its signal windows forms the core of the complex. However, the huge round tower, which stands protectively at the entrance, particularly catches our eye. The view into the valley is wide and truly impressive.
