Nestled in the picturesque landscape of the Totes Gebirge, the Spechtenseehütte is located at 1,050 meters above sea level, just a few minutes' walk from the Spechtensee of the same name. The hut proudly bears the "Kulinarium Steiermark Hütte" award – for genuine Styrian moments of enjoyment amidst nature. The Spechtenseehütte offers a cozy lounge and a sunny terrace with a magnificent view of the lake and the surrounding mountains – an ideal place to escape everyday life and unwind. The kitchen of the Spechtenseehütte places special emphasis on regional specialties and seasonal dishes. Whether hearty Jausenbretter (snack platters), fresh salads, or homemade cakes – everyone will find something to their taste here. There is also the possibility of overnight stays (only in summer), either in one of the rooms or in the rustic dormitory, which is ideal for larger groups.
