In the Bleistätter Moor, on the eastern shore of the lake and the Tiebel estuary, visitors will find resting places with benches, hammocks, and viewing platforms. There are two path options. In Steindorf, nature lovers have access to a parking lot with a parking meter offering a "30min Ticket" for free parking. The protected area is a habitat for rare animal and plant species, including: Animals: 25 snail species, 31 dragonfly species (Large Pincertail), 14 different bat species (Daubenton's bat), 9 amphibian species (water frogs, Yellow-bellied toad, European tree frog), birds (Ferruginous duck, Kingfisher, Black stork, Wood sandpiper, Ruff, Red-backed shrike, Osprey, Booted eagle), beaver, 700 butterfly species.
