Bread has been baked at Mauracher Hof since the 17th century; in the last 40 years, this vibrant baking tradition has developed into an exemplary organic farm bakery. In line with ecologically sound agriculture, we sow, cultivate, harvest, and mill our grain. Only organic ingredients are processed at Mauracher Hof. With artisanal skill and a maximum of manual labor, we bake a wonderful variety of bread and pastry types daily, as well as many fine pastries. PRODUCTS: Mauracherbrot: A Mauracherbrot simply always tastes good. Perhaps that's due to the simplicity of the sourdough bread's ingredients: freshly milled, sifted rye flour, water from our own well, mineral-rich rock salt, and spices. Further products: Pure sourdough breads such as walnut bread, wholemeal rye bread, sunflower seed bread, spelt bread, einkorn bread, or vital oat bread Light breads and seasonal breads such as our Sissy's Laiberl, pumpkin bread, Kletzenbrot (fruit bread) Baguette, Ciabatta, Toast & Co. There is the enchanting landscape of the Mühlviertel that surrounds Mauracher Hof. And then there is our delicious, oven-fresh bread and pastries. With timely advance registration, we open our (oven) door and (mill) gate for visitor groups. Allow about 2.5 hours: During an informative guided tour, we show you the path from ear to bread and let you taste our fine baked goods and organic pastries in the atmospheric Lindenstube.
