Bio- Bauernhof Schirkhof

The farm is run by the Pletz family in its fourth generation as a hay milk farm with 18 hectares of grassland. Farmer Gerlinde Pletz, a trained educator and specialist in animal-assisted intervention, has developed the farm into a special place for health promotion and education. She focuses on promoting resilience in children and adolescents, working with specially trained farm animals. The Schirkhof was awarded for its innovative work in the field of social agriculture. In October 2023, the farm received the Green Care certificate, becoming the 16th certified Green Care farm in Styria. The organic farm Schirkhof has developed into a center for health and education in the municipality of Weißkirchen and provides important impulses for a better quality of life in the region.
