Science has now confirmed a major insect die-off and speaks of the sixth great species extinction. The topic has now also reached the general population. The bee stands as a synonym for the threat to insects, not least because bees occupy an important position in nature and are vital for humans. The association "Bienenoasen St. Georgen" is dedicated to this topic. A bee educational trail has been set up on a 1.4 ha plot of land, where large information boards illustrate the life and work of bees and the functioning of a colony. Then visitors go to the hives and can look inside them. The goal is to bring visitors closer to the idea that every bee, ant, and butterfly has its place in nature. For this reason, the association intends to lease additional areas in the medium term and transform "dead green fallows" into living bee and insect meadows. Guided tours (evening tour, family/group tour, private bee tour, honey and wine), children's birthdays, company events/team building are possible with advance registration. Please note that a visit to the Bienenoasen is not a bad weather program. Sturdy, closed shoes and headwear are recommended.
