Mining and Gothic Museum in Leogang - approx. 20 minutes by car (approx. 15 km) from Pillerseetal. The Mining and Gothic Museum Leogang houses mining masterpieces and sacred Gothic art of the highest quality. The museum's thematic focus corresponds to the motto "Flourishing mining is flourishing art", as the late Middle Ages was the heyday of mining in the Archdiocese of Salzburg, especially in Leogang. The wealth acquired led to the commissioning of Gothic artworks that are now of world renown. Experience the most significant Gothic collection in the state of Salzburg in the wonderful ambience of the mining village of Hütten near Leogang. Summer opening hours: Mid-May to end of October, daily from 10 am to 5 pm, Monday closed. Guided tours on request
