The spacious adventure playground at the Rosshütte middle station is dedicated to the exciting theme of mining and offers children diverse opportunities to learn through play. The heart of the sand playground is the central mining climbing tower with its long tube slide; next to it is a mine with swiveling conveyor carts (Loren) and the sieving station. Shovels, buckets, brooms, and other important mining tools are, of course, also available for "underground work." In addition to the many mining elements, the playground also offers spectacular climbing opportunities, swings and crawling nets, a rapid tire slide, and a trampoline air cushion for small acrobatic acts. Additionally, a approximately 3-meter-high bouldering cube invites climbing and trying out different routes. Directly next to the adventure playground is also a large wooden marble run with different stations and obstacles. The necessary wooden balls are available on site from a vending machine and may be taken home as a small souvenir after sufficient play sessions. The nearby Rosshütte offers parents, children, and day guests spacious sun terraces and a cozy café with a spectacular view over the Seefeld region and tasty catering. Slightly below the middle station is also the Kaltwassersee, a snowmelt reservoir that offers a picturesque resting place somewhat off the beaten path in summer. During the opening hours of the mountain railways, the playground area and trampoline station are continuously professionally supervised. The family and stroller-friendly ascent to the middle station takes about two hours from Seefeld; at the valley station, drivers will find ample free parking. Those bringing strollers, grandparents, or groups can save themselves the hassle of the ascent and simply take the mountain railway to the Rosshütte.
