Bergbahnen Rosshütte

Bergbahnen Rosshütte

Seefeld, Tyrol

Quickly and comfortably accessible from the region's information center at Seefeld train station, this diverse year-round destination offers numerous activities and culinary highlights amidst the most beautiful Alpine panorama. Those arriving by car will find ample parking spaces in the open-air car park and in the weather-protected multi-storey car park at the valley station. The Rosshütte has a long tradition in Seefeld. Once, the simple wooden hut served as a horse stable, but it burned down in 1925. With its reconstruction, the sporting development of the mountain slope also began, and the former Alm (mountain pasture) was expanded into a ski hut with all amenities. The cable car development from 1954 attracted numerous snow-hungry skiers to the region. Today, Bergbahnen Rosshütte is one of the most popular and diverse year-round destinations in the Seefeld region: At the middle station (1,751m), visitors can expect a spacious mountain restaurant with expansive sun terraces and spectacular panoramic views. In summer, children of all ages will also find numerous play options, from the mining adventure playground to trampolines and a wooden marble run. From the middle station, the Härmelekopfbahn also offers a comfortable gondola connection to the most spectacular panoramic view over Seefeld and the surrounding Alps. The mountain station is located at a proud 2,041 meters above sea level and is open all year round. In summer, numerous marked bike and hiking trails lead along impressive panoramic routes and through fragrant Swiss pine forests. In winter, perfectly groomed ski slopes of all difficulty levels entice visitors into the valley. The Rosshütte ski area is also suitable for monoskiing. Visitors can also enjoy moments of pleasure with a stop at the Rosshütte – from hearty schnitzel to classic Germknödel (yeast dumplings) and gourmet brunch. Slightly below the middle station, the mountain peaks are reflected in the Kaltwassersee, and on the way into the valley, the cozy Hochegg Alm (1,545m) offers another rustic stop with authentic Tyrolean hut flair and delicious Kaiserschmarrn.
