Kremsmünster Abbey is one of the oldest monasteries in Austria. The Kaisersaal, library, fish pond, observatory, and art collections with the Tassilo Chalice are witnesses to our life and work. The fish pond, designed by Jakob Prandtauer, is a unique jewel in the architectural history of Europe and has always been used for fish farming. You can also try these fresh fish delicacies directly in the Stiftsschank (abbey tavern) opposite. Enjoy a glass of wine from the abbey's own winery with your meal. The observatory, the architectural landmark of the abbey, takes you high up. We invite you to explore the development of scientific research across 7 floors.
