The origin of the community goes back to Father Norbert Schachinger, a Benedictine of Kremsmünster Abbey. From an oblate community, the order was founded in 1949 with currently 60 sisters living in Austria and Brazil. Our activities are diverse. The focus is on pastoral and social-charitable areas. Our sisters currently work in guest services in the motherhouse, in the Caritas House St. Elisabeth in Linz, voluntarily in the Benedictine abbeys of Kremsmünster and Admont, and in the parishes of Steinhaus and Steinerkirchen an der Traun. The paraments workshop, where a great variety of liturgical vestments are produced, is known far beyond the country's borders. With the work of our hands, we have been making a significant contribution to the dignified celebration of the liturgy for 50 years. The creative design of the vestments and textiles and the quality of the execution are a great concern and daily challenge for us. In cooperation with our customers, unique individual pieces are created. The designs of artists also take concrete shape in our workshop.
