The Basilica St. Laurenz stands at the northeast corner of the civilian settlement; the lower church beneath the nave shows Roman foundations as well as remains of the early Christian house of worship. The oldest part of the building today is the tower from the 9th/10th century, in which Roman building material was also used. The current church was built at the end of the 13th century. The Gothic rib vaulting is still preserved in the choir and the two side aisles. The Basilica St. Laurenz also houses the two largest oil paintings in Upper Austria from the years 1711 and 1726. Autobahn A1, exit Enns West, first exit at the roundabout towards Asten/Enns, first exit at the 2nd roundabout, along Astner Straße to Enns. Turn left into Lauriacumstraße to the Basilica.
