Nature experience at Grundlsee at the Holzplatz/Seeklause bathing area At the western beginning of Grundlsee lies the Holzplatz/Seeklause bathing area directly where the lake flows into the Grundlseer Traun. The freely accessible area allows easy access to the water and is suitable for a quick cool-down as well as for a longer stay at the "Styrian Sea". Its location makes the Holzplatz a good stopover for activities around Grundlsee. Walks and hikes along the lake can be combined here with a swimming break and always offer new views of the Ausseerland landscape. A stop on the Via Artis artists' trail is also located directly at the Holzplatz/Seeklause bathing area. Just a few meters away is the landing stage of the Grundlseer Schifffahrt at Seehotel Grundlsee. From here, boat trips across Grundlsee start, which are part of the popular Three-Lakes Tour to Toplitzsee and Kammersee, among others. In addition to the landing stage, ice cream can also be enjoyed at the Strandcafé Seelaube.
