On the way through the gorge forest along the Großer Billbach, fascinating nature experiences await you. Newly built bridges lead to a small "peninsula" in the stream, which offers the ideal starting point for easy hikes. Geologically interesting conglomerate collapses and landslides make the Zinkgraben exciting for those interested in geology. Especially in hot temperatures, the Auszeitsteig Zinkgraben is ideal for cooling down and recharging. Knowledge for on the go – themed and information boards On your way through the Zinkgraben, numerous boards provide information about the unique flora and fauna of the gorge forest, the role of forests in climate change, and the geological peculiarities of the region. Learn more about the history of Gallenstein Castle as well as about the market town of Sankt Gallen and Weißenbach. Fun in motion in the Bewegungsarena Sankt Gallen Three running and walking routes of various difficulty levels are waiting to be discovered: Tankstellenrunde (3.1 km) – This paved route is ideal for beginners and leads through the town. Zinkgrabenrunde (3.2 km) – A route for experienced runners and walkers, which leads along the Großer Billbach through the gorge forest. Milchstraßenrunde (10 km) – The perfect route for passionate runners. It leads through the Zinkgraben, up to Weißenbach and further via the Milchstraße back to Sankt Gallen into the Zinkgraben.
