In the large diorama, the diversity of the wild forest has been brought indoors. You can see lynx, deer, badger, and fox, as well as forest birds down to the smallest insects in the foliage and under the tree bark. Under wooden flaps, the feeding traces of bark beetles & Co are hidden, and you learn the difference between wood-eaters and wood-eater-eaters. You find out how tall the largest tree in the National Park is and how old trees become if they are allowed to grow as old as nature intends. We introduce you to the bush drummers of the forest wilderness, and at the woodpecker xylophone, you can try to drum as fast as a woodpecker. In the forest cinema, you immerse yourself in the fascinating nature film "On the Way to Forest Wilderness" into the fairytale landscape of the Reichraminger Hintergebirge: secluded gorges, diverse forests, with black stork, bear, and lynx as main characters. In the outdoor area, there is the adventure box "Wilderness in the Soil". Here you enter a hidden world three centimeters below the soil surface. You stand eye to eye with soil animals magnified a hundredfold: predatory stone centipedes, peaceful earthworms, woodlice, and pill millipedes - everything to touch, for those who dare!
