Geschriebenstein Observation Tower - In place of a wooden tower ("Arpád Tower"), which the municipality of Güns had erected on the Geschriebenstein in 1891, the municipality of Rechnitz built the stone observation tower, still preserved today, exactly on the state border in 1913. The initiator was tax notary Ladislaus Gullner, and the master builder was Josef Varga from Rechnitz. Since the fall of the "Iron Curtain", the observation tower has once again been visited by many excursionists, as in earlier times, and since summer 2001, a sundial has been reinstalled on the front.
