Auflegerkapelle

According to legend, the Auflegerkapelle is said to be the memorial chapel of a mother who found her slain son at this spot. This chapel probably dates from the second half of the 17th century. For many years, pilgrims from Radfeld gathered here on the feast day of Maria Geburt before embarking on the long journey to Mariastein. Even today, processions of supplication are held from the village to this chapel.
